For the past three years, I’ve been fortunate to be employed in a well known BPO Company in the Philippines that works with a giant U.S. based client to handle their finances. One of my company’s practice is not to follow Philippine Holidays, instead, we observe the clients holiday which is the United States Federal Holiday. And to make this post more informative and interesting, I run down the list of the US Federal Holidays this 2012. United States Federal Holiday have ten (10) Federal Holidays composed of New Year’s day, Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr, Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day compared to the Philippines that composed of twelve (12) Regular Holidays, five (5) Special Non-Working Holidays and one (1) Special Holiday.
